Iboga

Iboga is an evergreen tree or shrub, native to West-Central Africa's rainforest of the Congo River Basin.

It is closely intertwined with Bwiti: a religious or spiritual practice originating some 10,000 years ago in the same area.

Online resources disagree on many areas regarding Bwiti. Even on what peoples in the area originated or historically practiced it, but it's deep connection to Iboga is something all sources can agree on.

Today many people from the Congo River Basin practice Bwiti in many different forms.
